Traveling north they reach the small town of New Jersey, where by chance they find a large property that meets all their expectations, is large, ugly, in poor condition, is in ruins and abandoned, and as if A few years ago it worked as a psychiatric clinic for patients with mental disorders; not even in their best dreams they would have imagined finding something so perfect to form a home.
Upon obtaining the property, they get hidden one of the patients from the asylum who they decide to use as their butler and nickname him Largo.
Thirteen long and tortuous years have passed, the family has grown in numbers, Gomez and Morticia have two children, the young teenager Wednesday and the little Pugsley; uncle Lucas has also moved with them and his mascot a bodyless hand called Thing.
Everyone leads a life isolated from the outside world and tries to have the least contact with their close neighbors; but Wednesday dreams of crossing the borders of the Addams mansion and sharing with all the people it can; while the Pugsley boy struggles with the Addams ritual called Mazurka, for which he is being advised by his father and uncle.
Across the city, a prestigious television host named Margaux Needler is planning to build a planned housing complex for the best families in the city called "Assimilation"; Needler learns of the existence of an extravagant family that lives on the hill in the old asylum, which has dark and gloomy customs that do not match the rest of the community.
The journalist and presenter decide to go to visit the Addams, when she meets the family she is surprised by her way of life; so he warns them that they must change or they will not be able to continue in the city.
After Morticia's refusal, Needler intends to make their lives impossible; that same week Wednesday meets a girl named Parker, who turned out to be Margaux's daughter, both convince Morticia to let her attend secondary school, there the young Addams realizes that her new and only friend, along with other companions from classes called Layla and Kayla, they are being bothered by a bravado called Bethany.
Seeing what happens, Wednesday uses a spell to teach her a lesson and gains the trust and respect of her companions; later they all come together and discuss their problems coming to the conclusion that they must change, Parker adopts Wednesday's Gothic style, and this takes Parker's colorful style.
This causes a stir among the girls' parents, especially Morticia, who punishes her daughter and causes her to flee the house; now things will get worse since the young Addams took refuge in Parker's house and unintentionally discovered the plans she has for her family.
