This film portrays the drug scene in Berlin inside the 70s, following tape recordings of Christiane F. 14 years antique Christiane lives together with her mom and little sister in a regular multi-storey condominium building in Berlin. She's fascinated by the 'Sound', a brand new disco with maximum modern-day system. Although she's legally too younger, she asks a pal to take her. There she meets Detlef, who's in a clique wherein everybody's on capsules. Step through step she receives drawn deeper into the scene.
