Synopsis

In the run-up to the 1972 elections, Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward covers what seems to be a minor damage-in on the Democratic Party National headquarters. He is amazed to locate top attorneys already at the protection case, and the invention of names and addresses of Republican fund organizers at the accused similarly arouses his suspicions. The editor of the Post is ready to run with the tale and assigns Woodward and Carl Bernstein to it. They discover the path leading better and higher in the Republican Party, and sooner or later into the White House itself.
